Matt Hopper
Founder, Creative Director
Who is the man who would risk his neck for his brother man?
Matt Hopper, can you dig it?
A devotee of the 70s blaxploitation genre, Matt’s creative risk taking is reminiscent of his filmic hero, Detective John Shaft. Although Matt takes a better shot.
Matt has spent the last decade working in video and design for such clients as adidas, Motorola, HSV Holden, Melbourne International Arts Festival and the Victorian Government.
As well as supervising every facet of Compulsive’s work, Matt has also built an international reputation directing the online video series, Inframe TV.
Inframe TV explores the creative process of such artists and designers as Velvet Underground co-founder John Cale, ex-head of design at BMW Chris Bangle and iconic filmmaker Peter Greenaway.
With over 1.4 million views, Inframe TV is well on the way to eclipsing Shaft at the online box office.

Tim Smith
Senior Designer / Editor
Tim Smith loves detail. His attention to it is compulsive. So much so, that you are reading the 47th draft of his biography.
Sorry, that should be 48th.
So you can imagine how much care and skill Tim puts into his designs and video editing.
Now it may sound as if Tim is a rather serious character. But we can dispel that impression with a single word.
Unicycle.
Yes, he rides one. And you can no longer take him seriously.
Even if we tell you he has extensive experience managing a production department, working on television commercials and programs, documentaries and short films with clients like Tourism Australia and Federation Square.
No. He is now one of those people who choses to ride half a bicycle even when he can afford a whole one.

Liesel Arden
Producer
Liesel’s painting talents have earned her the nickname “Liesel the Easel”, with her oeuvre ranging from portraits to abstracts.
However, when Liesel hangs up the beret and puts on her producer’s hat, her skills in communication design and project management are anything but abstract.
Building on her degree in creative industries, Liesel has turned the role of producer into a high art form. She uses her keen eye for media and organisational abilities to ensure a project reaches its full potential.
But given Liesel’s creative sensibilities, should we expect her to have an artistic temperament, given to frenzied rages in the manner of Jackson Pollock?
Au contraire, Liesel is the epitome of approachability with a nature as sunny as Van Gogh’s flowers.
